The China heavy AA, Twin Fang.
Solution? Maybe add a listening outpost like legs on them, so players know when they are ready to fire and makes sense as a tall wheeled vehicle is highly unstable, even more so when firing a cannon from a tall off-setted turret. I know ROTR is not up for suggestions, but this fix confusions and visual flaws. -------------------- [Sources] ASUS Essence ST, iPod Touch 64GB [Amplifiers] DIY HA5000, iBasso D2+ Boa [Headphones] Audio Technica ATH-AD1000PRM, Ultimate Ears TF10 Pro |

+1 support. Would be overall better looking indeed (you know, nice details and stuff).

Misa likes the original design of the high wheeled twin fang actually =o
Also, why is not firing while moving a problem? -------------------- |

I don't see it not firing while moving as a problem, if it does it will be totally OP.
But visually, giving a visual clue that its ready to fire will clear confusion. The Russian heavy AA need to be deployed and US one can fire on the move, yet China one can only fire while stopped but not needed to deploy. Adding legs like the one on the Listening Outpost van will clear stuff up + looks better. But visually, giving a visual clue that its ready to fire will clear confusion. I think your visual cue here is 'not moving'...I don't see why the model needs to be changed for no reason at all. The Inferno Cannon has a larger cannon, is taller in comparison to volume and is smaller. Should we give the inferno cannon feet too...? I don't think so. It's survived without them since VGens. It's fine as it is, I'd much rather progress be put into units that aren't done yet, touch-ups can come later. This post has been edited by Alias: 15 Oct 2009, 17:41 -------------------- |

@Alias: What is the problem in a less than 2 minutes code copy?

Also Inferno cannon fire upwards and is tracked. Not firing sideways and rather tall thin and wheeled. Although I agree touch-up can come later though. -------------------- [Sources] ASUS Essence ST, iPod Touch 64GB [Amplifiers] DIY HA5000, iBasso D2+ Boa [Headphones] Audio Technica ATH-AD1000PRM, Ultimate Ears TF10 Pro |

I'd like to see it shoot down ballistic missiles.

I think small change adds nicely to the Twinfang:

I don't really think it needs this.
The solution for it not firing on the move would be to keep it still... you can plainly see when it is moving. -------------------- |

I'd like to see it shoot down ballistic missiles. Quoted for emphasis. I would like to see that as well; though I'm not sure what that would accomplish in RotR 1.5 since the only thing it can counter is the Surveillance Missile and maybe the Russian cruise missile strike. I'm actually OK with the design. It might look a little better and realistic if the chassis was stretched horizontally by a factor of 1.1~1.2, but that's kind of a moot improvement. I don't think it needs 'stabilizing feet'. This post has been edited by NergiZed: 16 Oct 2009, 20:11 -------------------- |

Even though they're already that paper-skinned? Hmm...it would certainly make sense and give a bit more of a challenge from the AI indeed...

If it doesn't fire while moving, will there be a mobile AA vehicle for the Chinese that fires while moving?

The Gattling Tank is not strong enough to kill most airplanes fast.

One other thing about the Twinfang is that it doesnt seen that strong. Two Gattling Tanks cost the same, can be gotten sooner, and seen better Vs. aircraft than the Twinfang. As for the model, it is a little top heavy to be fair, but all it needs is for its main hull to be wider, adding feet just looks weird to me.
Also my first post here! This mod is the best ive ever played!! And it is more stabe the vanilla ZH/Gen!!! Good Work Guys and cant wait for the return of the G.L.A.!! ECA looks cool as well! O=MM=C |

Me thinks you peoples are missing the point.
What raptor is trying to say is, the twin fang "LOOKS" like it can fire on the move, while in reality it can't. And by adding the deploy legs, it would make it "LOOK" like it needs to deploy to shoot. Thereby, removing 'initial' confusion. -------------------- |

Personally, because it's a game, I think it's fine as is.... maybe tweaks like this could be made after 2.0, but at the moment I'd much rather see some new GLA/ECA than a minor edit to the Twinfang
