Hello everyone,

My friend introduced this game to me several years ago and I have a LAN party this upcoming weekend and I would love to get this game loaded on my Windows 7 laptop. The problem is that I already downloaded the mod's but Shockwave won't load.

But first things first, should I install all the mod's into the C&C folders?

I don't have First Decade and if getting that pack would help I will gladly pick it up in a heart beat.

Thank you for your help.

You need to make sure the mod is installing itself into the Program Files/EA Games/C&C Generals Zero Hour/ directory otherwise the launcher will not work.

When you run the installer, right-click it and run it as an administrator. Then obviously point the installer to your ZH directory. If it still isn't working, you're probably missing the Options.ini in your my documents. To fix that, create a text file in notepad and copy/past this code
CODE
AntiAliasing = 3
DrawScrollAnchor =
GameSpyIPAddress = 0.0.0.0
Gamma = 50
IPAddress = 0.0.0.0
IdealStaticGameLOD = Low
LanguageFilter = false
MoveScrollAnchor =
MusicVolume = 55
Resolution = 1920 1080
Retaliation = yes
SFX3DVolume = 79
SFXVolume = 71
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = High
UseAlternateMouse = no
UseDoubleClickAttackMove = yes
VoiceVolume = 70

into it and save as Options.ini

Change the resolution of course if your screen is more likely to be 1280*800 for example.

Now you be sure to pass that info on to the rest of the group that are always claiming that they can't get SW to work. wink.gif Especially John.
