So
i have Vista 32 bit. Not even sure if it can run on Vista? Anyways, i used the same disk i used before to run Shockwave so i should have the 1.04 patch covered. I installed shockwave 95 and the 951 patch. When it asked me what folder to put it in i selected the ZH folder under TFD because the other ZH folder was empty. So the first menu comes up and i select launch or whatever and it brings up the ZH thing and then the Shockwave thing and then it does nothing. Please help. I miss this game so much. |

...keeping your cool perhaps?
Anyway, you can consult the threads at the Support forum as Centric said. -------------------- "Not in mood...go away..." "We are going to have to act, if we want to live in a different world." Bringing wrath to a forum near you since 2009! |

If you try the Icon of zh it will run zh try to run it trough the launcher ...

If I wanted to tell you what kind of person I am, the words I'd use would be "good for nothing". Even if you give me the words I'm at a loss for, my heart just won't pay attention. If I can move, if everything changes, it will go dark. Yuri <3 |

Nah, no attitude. I have just posted a few times other places as well and no one said a thing. Frustrating since i really want to play again.
Well, i clicked the Shockwave launcher not the ZH one and it did as i said, Start thing came up and then nothing happened. Here is a picture link to the my ZH folder http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/9269/zhpic.jpg I do appreciate the help. I am just very to the point and dont use forums a whole lot.

I will direct you to this advice. Anything beyond this has never happened to me.
From the Moddb page: NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (After the uninstall, MAKE SURE to delete the Zero Hour folder) - The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > ShW v0.95 > ShW v.0951 patch * If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it. As a fellow TFD user, I can tell you that errors like this happens from time to time, and TFD is a bitch to uninstall/reinstall. Good luck. And by the way, post this in the ShW Support subforum instead, in the future. Edit: Your zh folder looks normal enough offhand, but a full install should fix things. Have you tried running vZH to test if everything still works normally there? This post has been edited by joshh: 28 Jan 2010, 22:37 -------------------- |

The ZH folder you need to delete is the one in C://>Program Files>EA Games>Command and Conquer The First Decade>Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour. The purpose of this is to delete any random junk files in there that are screwing with the game. Also, a no-CD patch works wonders. Try it sometime.

His folder is fine.
The problem is most likely with Vista permissions. You NEED to run the launcher as administrator. -------------------- |
