Hi there,

so far I found three Bugs/Glitches.

1) Howitzers can't shoot at targets that are behind mountains. The grenades detonate somewhere in the air behind the mountain.

2) Bomb Trucks can drive through any building. At least when a building had been finished after the attacking command for the Bomb Truck.

3) At least on Blood Match Stadium map there are four towers in the middle which are unaccessible for infantry. I only managed to get one soldier in once.

*During a 1v1 PVP game on the map Dying Daylight, the game mismatched a short time after building the Pandora as ECA.

*Pandora sometimes will not fire when told to fire on an enemy unit.

*GLA Tunnel Defenders would not fire out of a garrisoned structure on the map Inches Apart, and couldn't be force-fired either.

I am not entirely sure if that's a bug but Mortar Trucks sometimes just don't shoot when a target is assigned by battle network scanner. They do get that green ring around them and the battle network scanner seems to work (at least visually) but sometimes they just don't shoot but "keep scanning".

Is this intended? And if so, what's the reason? Do some trucks need to scan for a longer time than others? huh.gif

The scanner extends nearby Mortar Truck's range, the one doing the designator painting itself never even fires. Grab a blob, switch the one in the middle to targeting mode and then you'll see.

And "nearby" means only those Mortar Tracks get the extended range that are within that green circle?

Another possible bug I noticed:

If an ECA player force-fires on his own Felin riflemen or Panzerfausts, they become eligible for Medics to recover and earn a $100 cash bonus

- The Commandos with the explosives cannot use their second ability (planting bombs on target location) if one is targeting a building. They then just run towards the building until they should actually stop and plant but they actually keep running without moving (looks like if they are running towards an invisible wall; they run on the same spot) and without actually planting their bomb. One can only manage to plant near a building with then clicking their first ability.
EDIT: What is even stranger, that it sometimes does indeed work, but I cannot see a clear pattern when planting bombs on structures works and when it doesn't. What I know is that it doesn't seem to make a difference from which direction you approach the enemy building.

- Besides also excavators seem to be able to go through buildings, even if these structures were not build after the moving order. So maybe this is intended? But I never encountered this apart from that but for the Bomb Truck (Post #1).

- Maybe this one is intended, too, but if you call the ECA support airship, then there is no cooldown timer telling you when support can be called again. It just turns grey.
If it is intended, I'd like to know why because I'd find a cooldown timer quite helpful!

I think someone pointed this out before but when gaining veterancy, the Valkyrie Venom, if using the grenade launcher and still targeting an enemy at the time it gained the veterancy, will perform its firing animation for a second or two without actually firing. From what I recall, this doesn't occur with its shotgun, but I'm not sure about the AT missiles.

Another thing that seems at least incosistent is the fact that you can't click on any of those base helicopters as long as excavators are build.

With the USA e.g. you can click on the dozers and while they are being built you can click on that drone. So far it seems that only ECA is not able to order building different units from their base at once.

That's probably related to the fact how you cannot pick Boris's weaponry during something you're doing in a Barracks. If it's done that way, there must be a reason why. At the aforementioned Boris one, I was told otherwise it could be abused to get both Boris variants and due to the special setup of the copters I wouldn't be surprised if the cases are similar there.

I have two bugs to report.

I was playing as USA. I placed down a barracks, and the scaffold did not appear at all, the bulldozer stopped moving, and I lost money. I could not click the rax either, as it simply did not exist.

Again, as USA, sometimes the Osprey will fly in the complete opposite direction of what you tell it to, or fly to the corner of the map. It seems to be random. Has anyone else experienced this?

My guess on that Barracks one is that there was simply a unit that killed your scaffold. As for random unit movement, this is usually a lag issue.

As for the 2 Helicopters at the Region Command, due to lag you could click both buttons but you'd only get the first helicopter clicked. Thankfully both upgrades become available again when the helicopter is shot down though.

There's a bug that's been around since Generals - where if you build a Chinook (Osprey), it will always return to the Supply Center even if you place a rally point, this might be what you mean.

Okay, but I am not calling it a bug to not being able to choose both helicopters but to not being able to order one while excavators are still being built. That means when I am USA e.g. I can click two dozers and one drone and then move the camera somewhere else. While as ECA I need to come back to HQ when the Excavators are ready and click once again on HQ to order one helicopter.

The Helicopter's considered a structure upgrade (not a unit like the recon drone) in the game code - that's the difference.

Well to me promotion level more sounds like the promotion of units. And not only the player but also the units promote in rank, don't they?

He might've been confused about what he was saying; we'll have to wait to see if he comes back.

But the correct term for unit ranks is "veterancy". "General's promotion" refers to ranking up and unlocking new Generals' points.
