Here I will post my add-ons for ROTR.

SU-25 Frogfoot:

From good old 1.802. Miss it? Now you get it. Blow 'em away.

Extract, put it in ROTR folder. Works with public build 1.86.

Warning: You cannot play online with this installed. It will get you BANNED.

This is a nice addon, I know you never asked for it but If you can well; a return of the gla mosnter truck or the ECA mirage tank wont bite tongue.gif

The monster truck will come after I finish Scorpio's Tsar bomb. I still have problems with science and general powers, kinda hard to understand what is what.

As for the mirage tank, won't be long.

At the moment I was thinking of going for Helix with all 3 modules available by default for convenience. We have 128 upgrades limit problem, and the remaining are saved for 1.87 anyway.

This add-on doesn't really work for me. I did it with how you've said it, but only a "Technical Error" greets me.

Is there something wrong I did? Is there something I've missed?

Strange, can you give me your ReleaseCrashInfo.txt file?

It's in C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data

Must have been an oversight. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, i also have the same problem, just like when i used the "Mirage Tank" Add-on, when i started the game, it crashed with an error notice. My ROTR version is 1.86, i also have Knajaz's rebalance Patch (and some infantry reskin ".BIG files) but i did take it out before put your file in. So any idea? thanks

Mirage Tank addon is supposed to work with clean 1.86, not with Knjaz addon.

I know, what i meant is that i got the same "technical error" when i put Frogfoot add-on into my ROTR 1.86 folder. And it's also not because of Knjaz Patch that is at fault (i did put the patch .BIG files out), it's simply that the Frogfoot Add-on wouldn't work on my ROTR 1.86 as Admin stated.

Actually, as far as I'm aware, Mirage Tank at the moment only works for 1.85, not 1.86.

It works now, thanks a lot. comrade. By the way, your Add-on doesn't work with knjaz's rebalance patch, you can still play the mod but you won't see any Frogfoot, just a reminder to anyone who use Knjaz's patch

One question though. Why are you playing with the Knjaz patch the ONLY purpose of which is to adjust the balance in PvP games, and at the same time you want to use the Frogfoot and the Mirage addons which are not a part of balance at all? Do you play it vs. AI only? If yes, why have the Knjaz patch in the first place? smile.gif

Oh well, because Knjaz patch does tweak a bit in favor of USA faction, like Bradley tank, more HP for guardian angel, this and that. But hey, i never say i want both (or the Mirage Tank) to work at the same time, just giving a reminder to anyone who has the rebalance patch but can't find any Frogfoot, totally get me wrong you see? but let's talk more about (future) Add-on, less other things that is not relevant to this thread

It is, just testing out the anti-missile missiles and some other stuffs.

I didn't use the regular model, since the Aurora in ROTR is supposed to be a new generation hypersonic model.

Granger's prototype is certainly better choice than the Aurora Alpha.

are you making the aurora the same as it's original ZH version or are you adding more things for it (abilities etc)

Sorry, still no Aurora this time. Tried to give it a speed boost ability and failed.

I'll either think of something else more interesting, or maybe just leave it at it is and put it here.

But there is something you can play with meanwhile. For some unknown reason I can no longer see the edit button of my #1st post.

I was playing with RGO AI, and was bored. So I tried 1vs3 medium AI and got pawned by Sentinel spam from 3 directions.

Then I remember how powerful laser weapons in SW was, and decided to make this for some extra fun.

I doubt ShockWave's Laser Crusaders ever did 200 explosion damage though tongue.gif

There's a problem. The weapon modules and the bombs. It's a pain in the ass to port them over.

If it's just a transport helix with the default gun and nothing else then you can get it by tomorrow.

i hope the ROTR team would add Laser tank in future version, i know the team won't take opinion because they've already got plans for the final version, i just want to add that, Laser Crusader is still fit in the lore and it's an original unit from Zero Hour, and consider Russia will have a "experimental tank" for Alexandr (as shown on 1.87 stream). And one more thing i wanna add, the original model for the Laser Crusader looks too simple and toyish, maybe we could remodel it to something like this, well this is what Laser tank would looks like if Generals 2 happened, but still this is just my opinion and i hope the team may take heed for future update

Actually, except for the ugly low poly turret the original Laser Crusader actually make senses. It have a simple but working design. Basically just a laser gun put on an old tank chassis. Being simple make it perfectly fit in with the rest of the tanks, because it doesn't stand out too much.

This one isn't toyish but it's way too over the top sci-fi like for the generals universe IMO. And to be honest, it looks kinda similar to the Wotan array.

i actually think more of the Cycplops AA defense cannon (a bit smaller) on a crusader chassis rather than the Wotan Array, for the Laser Crusader, the chassis is fine (maybe a bit of update since the normal Crusader got one), but the cannon, i think it needs a new one. And i agree with that the Laser tank chassis in Generals 2 is scifi-ish

I think a transport helix with the default gun and maybe fireports by default would work fine. It doesn't really need the modules with the Han Gunship.

If you could make it I'd greatly appreciate it, the Helix was my favorite unit in the base game and 2.0 is such a long way away.

Simply look at Chinese WF and find out the trick, you get what to do in the first look.

yep, looks like The Helix could hold 3 Nukeneer now, don't know if it's game-breaking or not, because now Helix become some kind of Hybrid Artillery chopper (the range is short thanks to the Helix machine gun), but it still take time to fire the shot though, and it'd still shoot even if the target is destroyed or move out of the way, so it doesn't act like Han gunship with Nuke loadout , and plenty of times for AAs shoot the Helix down. i still find the idea of Flying Nukeneer cool though

It should either work or crash. Unless there is something that overwrite the command set.ini

You have left over files?

Do you use Knjaz rebalance patch, because the Frogfoot wouldn't appear. i used to have that problem. maybe reinstall a fresh 1.86 would work

Hello X1Destroy. I have tried your fix version of SU-25 Frogfoot and also tried with Zeke's latest Mirage tank v3 to combine both, and I may have a problem.
When setting a menu (not quick start menu) I did notice that Mirage tank didn't fire and when playing as EU faction, i don't see mirage tank production in war factory.
Either your Su-25 frogfoot did work in-game but also I don't see any mirage tank production to build this unit from EU factory.

I can do a retake to you and maybe send you that info, if this helps to you.

You cannot combine mods together in ZH. You can only use one mod at a time.

Okay. That make sense. But what if you and X1Destory would want to work each for combining his addon units (and the Mirage Tank that you made) to this Rise of the Reds in the future possibly(if you or him have
free time or not)? That would be awsome to do that unless that may not work out because of couple reasons maybe?

The devs have a very solid idea of what they want in the final version of the mod, and the Mirage Tank(and most of these addons) is not a part of that. They're just here simply for the people who want them.

Mirage Tank addon is from Zeke and doesnt are official of ROTR, so you need to install one thing at time.

I hate to revive such an old threaf, but if you're still interested in modding, I've got another(hopefully easy) request for you.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you could make a mod adding the GLA http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Saboteur_(Zero_Hour) from Zero Hour to the game. If another unit from the GLA Barracks has to be replaced, I'd like it to replace the Angry Mob.

Saboteur's ability have been transferred to ECA (Jaeger).
The only difference is that Jaeger doesn't suicide when using that ability

I'm having quite a problem. Whenever I add a new infantry unit it works fine but when the infantry got hit by ranger's flashbang it become an invincible obstacle that never disappear no matter what. But shock troopers seems to die normally.

I look at the codes of the flashbang grenade and haven't got a clue. I don't understand how the prisoner logic work.
