I don't know what to think. What is the direction you want to go with this mod? Some units really don't work (scrap abrams :/) and yeah, there's Saddam and Osama.

To be honest I'd rather see you work on your Axe to the Fourth Power more interesting mod Generation X than on this.

I remember played that mod about 3 or 4years ago with verson 5.0.

1. Our main goal is to fix Reborn and reverse it's bad reputation, Reborn had a good concept it was just not executed properly.
2. Why exactly does the Scrap Abrams don't work?
3. Bush Saddam and BinLaden were classic characters from the older versions and they're not leaving any time soon.

What is that concept in your eyes then. Specifically, what are you going to do different from the original Reborn.

As you said, you wanted a little break from Generation X. That's completely understandable, but that doesn't make me see this mod as anything more than that, a breakfiller.

And well, on the Scrap Abrams. It's just an abrams tank painted green, what's the 'scrap' element?

Well if that's your opinion I won't hold it against you. Although the Scrap Abrams is a lot more than just a recolored Abrams you'll see

To be open i did not like the original Reborn.
But knowing you work this question from Shock is very interesting.

So were is this train going?
A global info on this would be nice.

Well for starters our version is gonna crash a lot less.

EDIT: To put it bluntly Me and Chris are giving this mod a second chance. Reborn is probably the first ZH mod ever played by most people, and whether you liked it or not, Reborn had a lot of nifty features and Ideers. Reborn also has something that most mods today lack, which is "fun", pure mindless "fun".

Most of you might disagree, that such an imbalanced bug filled mod could ever be fun to play, but it is. It's the type of game you play not because it's pretty and certainly not because it's balanced like the SWR mods, but simply because it's loose, it's random, it's childish, it's JUST fun to play.

Reborn is probably the first ZH mod ever played by most people.

It was indeed, the first ZH mod I played. In fact, it is probably the only mod I know that is being played in ZH in some Internet cafes here in the PH, at least in my place and in neighboring towns/cities I know.

It's the type of game you play not because it's pretty and certainly not because it's balanced like the SWR mods, but simply because it's loose, it's random, it's childish, it's JUST fun to play.

Reborn's not really that serious like other no-nonsense mods. It has a wacky variety of realistic and fictional military hardware and features, like Harriers that are still in service by the game's setting, B-3 bombers that can fit inside the hangars of an Airfield , some of which maybe considered redundant, alternative rock music amidst a warzone, and, as you've said, some quite overpoweringly unbalanced units (like USA Officers' airstrike abilities, a mine-laying SPH [can't remember it's name] , and powerful early game-available assault rifle+shotgun+grenade launcher+C4-armed Marines). It's indeed fun, and extends replay value through these fun features.

Reborn was the first mod ive played to , back when i was not a very good player and compstomper that was the most amazing mod to me

i remember hearing about it in 5th grade xD

About the Abrams: It's overused as we all know, however making it able to gain some new Stuff via Salvaging is something I like.

Reborn is fun because of inbalance and overpowered units.

Like if you reach Rank 5 with Bush or Ironside you have 3 Overkill Generals Powers to Annihilate half a base. Bin Laden sees the whole map.

The problems of the old reborn were:
- Bugs
- random Crashes and Mismatches
- some generals were boring (Hijack, Toxin)
- extremely slow (laggy) gameplay in MP (compared to vZH or mods like Contra or SW)
- some tactics were too overpowered (Bradley rush, Dragon-Overlord rush, Osprey-rush, Repair-Drone-Firebase-rush and probably Delta-Force)

Everything else is fun, which is the most important part of a mod imho.
If the new Reborn gets rid of these problems and keeps the fun, it will be an awesome mod.

Will the new reborn be a launcher based mod?
The only reason I uninstalled the old versions was because it was a destructive installation.
