I know the team doesn't accept suggestions and i will be eaten alive for what i'm saying but... since the sentry drone is a stealthed scout that can deploy, after an upgrade, a machine gun... Is possible to suggest a hold or fire button in order to overcome the problem of a sentry left unattended being killed by approaching enemies (since it automatically deploy the machine gun against them)? I'm suggesting this because in ROTR 1.5 there is the nuke's cannon hold fire mode and i thought that can be implemented also here... A lot of people would eventually and cleverly suggest me to not upgrade the drones if i don't want them to fire the machine gun, i thought about it. I hope the answers won't be just "no" without an explanation. Thank you very much |

You could just...move the drone away, can't you?

Last I checked, sentry drones held their fire completely unless ordered.

Why use sentry drones at all? You get satellite scan and global hawk also stealth detection on every vehicle...

Because the Sentry has no recharge time and can be spammed?

You could just...move the drone away, can't you? yeah, i could move it away, if it wouldn't unstealth itself and if i'd be always on time to move it out of range.. Last I checked, sentry drones held their fire completely unless ordered. Now...that's interesting... i have to check...thank you very much. |

ok i checked it. And sentry drone machine gun doesn't deploy automatically against the enemies that come in range. If you order to it to do so, you can click stop and it immediatly stop to fire and re-stealth itself.
So i should have checked it bfore to open this topic but hopefully the ones who didn't know it (like me) now are informed. Thank you anyway for your patience This post has been edited by katmoda12: 17 Mar 2010, 23:30 |

As said, Sentry drones work like Stealth tunnels, they only fire when ordered to do so.
