[font="Arial"]As an avid fan of Rise of the Reds mod, we are all looking forward to the version 2, which will feature 15 generals from all 5 factions. The purpose of starting this thread is to share our ideas on how we can improve the game. Like which battle units in real life should be included or brought back into the game. Then we can propose to Hunter and the mod group our ideas.
I am a Air Force General player so, this would be my ideal plan for General Griffin. Once again, thank you for creating a really fantastic mod. (1) USA Air Force General Griffon - The hardest general to play but very powerful if managed properly. - Should have command of a variety of different planes and choppers being an air specialized general. Planes: First, after building Air Field, units available: - F-16 Falcon - F-18 Hornet Second, after building Strategy Centre, units available: - F-22 Raptor - F-35 JSF - F-117 Nighthawk - Aurora Bomber Choppers: - The USA helipad structure from Shockwave mod should be included, resulting in faster production of battle units. - Comanche helicopter should be re-named as Apache. - Existing Cobra helicopter is already a very good and useful addition. - Combat Chinooks should be brought back. Supporting Vehicle Units: - Small lightweight tanks like MCV or Sheridan should be added. - Existing Humvee, Laser Avenger and Chaparral are already very good support units. Generals Abilities: - Fuel Air Bomb should be included back again in the Rank 5 Air Force Generals Ability, with further upgrade to Mother of all Bomb (MOAB) at the Strategy Centre like in the old Zero hour game. - And of course, the usual refinements like Spy Satellite, Veteran Pilot Training. Leaflet Drop, A-10 Warthog strikes, Level 1, 2 & 3 C-130 Rangers Paradrop, Level 1, 2 & 3 Carpet Bombing, Spectre Gunship, CIA Intelligence. Well...nice suggestions. Trouble is that the mod team really isn't taking any at the moment. If you're serious though about your ideas, TC, you could mod the game privately, just for yourself. That's probably allowed.
Even better would be finding some people who think the same and making your own mod. It might not look as great as some of the stuff SWR Productions does, but it'll be how you see Generals and can only improve with time. |
