Btw, the blue glow of the nano-tech on the Manticore could become orange (if you can do that).

Well done.

What method did you use for the recolouring? If you did this manually then hats off, I did that for my IDF vehicles and it took god damn ages.

did the claymore by hand, after that and seeing that the RC has 42 texture files....
gimp + fiddling with the saturation, brightness and contrast levels for each of the colors

And didnt that mess with snow or damage sub-skins? *genuinely curious*

If it can be done the easy way then I could do building skin packs and dear lord do buildings (for china and usa) need it.

Awesome! ITs more, this could be polemycal, but with the ECA being a Pan-european army, then it its the modern version of the Schutzstaffel/SS. So it would be cool if someone could add SS symbols to the ECA textures. Nothing extravagant. Just a thought.

Well SS is not what I'd call a good idea to be honest. You know... history.
Since this pack mixes quite well with Imperium's Helghast pack, I'd personnally prefer to add Helghast logo (with maybe variations for different generals).

And how would this make any sense from a story angle? The SS may have had non-German elements, but that doesn't change the fact that it was an army of the national socialist ideology and not some expression of genuine pan-European sentiment. The ECA in ROTR consists of democratic countries, not a single one of which is openly fascist, so the chance of them styling their military after the sodding Waffen SS of all things is about as slim as United Korea borrowing aesthetics from the Imperial Japanese Army. Also, if you want to talk pan-European military forces, I suggest you read up on things like the EU Battlegroups, Eurocorps, or the Franco-German Brigade, which would be actual present day organisations that the ECA is made to invoke. Finally, there is also the fact that displaying nazi symbols, particularly in video games, is downright illegal in some countries. Nothing to do with 'feels' but more with laws and the fact that there is no in-story justification for why the ECA should resemble literal nazis.

In fact, politics are banned forum-wide, so not even there. I advise everyone to go back to discussing the skins and not mention the other stuff again.

While I agree to some extent about real-life politics, not discussing politics at all within the game setting is a bit difficult - Zero Hour's story is based on armed conflicts generated by international politics which drew parallels to many real-life events at the time (I mean, Suicide Bombers in 2004? Not to mention the first campaign mission takes place in Baghdad). Rotr goes even further with this by adding Russia invading Europe - parallels can be made to real life.

Allusions to historical concepts such as communism are made by in-game voices (in a satirical way, but it's still there). Plus I think there is a Hammer and Sickle graffiti on one of the Russian Buildings.

At the end of the day, it's a game heavily inspired by real-life elements with conflicts generated by politics. Not discussing that at all seems very odd. The extend to which that is to be discussed is another matter.

And even the name of the thread for the skins is 'Bring on the Fascists'...and no one had an issue with that. I feel like MARS's approach to this issue was the proper one, explaining how SS banners would not fit from a story and legal perspective.

Ok, let me ammend that.

Real Life politics are banned. Politics in the sense and context of the mod's backstory are fine, just remember the other rules when discussing them. Bringing up some obscure bullshit documentary interview from YouTube to justify/explain away Real Life historic atrocities is not fine.
