I would very much like to know how to do this... if anyone could give me some pointers in the right direction I'd be very grateful.
I need to know how to make the units do things, if I can do it without worldbuilder (if so then how do I use it) As well as camera position and inserting voice clips -------------------- |

Hi,
you will have to do it with world builder. You can make cinematic sequences with the script tool. Create a new script, and start adding steps in the [Action if true] tab. You will mainly use the stuff in the tabs "Camera", "Scripting", "Units", "Teams" and "User". Some common stuff: Camera -Letter box (on/off) adds black bars on top and bottom of the screen, removes build menu. -follow units (on/off) -Move camera/reset camera (basically you tell the camera to move to a certain location in a set time)   -Modify (here you can set your camera to zoom in, or change its vertical angle during the movement) -FX (black out, blend in etc.) Scripting -Briefing (allows you to display some text) -Time   -freeze/unfreeze (that's the main relevant thing when doing cinematics, sometimes you may want the entire playfield to freeze when the camera is on the move) Unit (Orders a single unit to do something, mostly used in cinematics:) -Move -Attack -Die Team (Orders a team of units/buildings/items to do something) -Move -Attack -Die -Transfer to another player User -Flash (makes units/buildings etc flash) -Input on/off (disables keyboard/mouse so you cannot intterupt camera moves) |
