Soviet-Era Rocket Launch Facility Mission
General, We have just now received reports that a US-China coalition force has captured a soviet missile gantry and are prepping missiles for launch. General, you must defeat the Chinese and US forces and capture the rocket launch facility. General, you must not fail. The pride of the Russians must not be extinguished.
CREDITS go to C&C Generals and the SWR community.

NOTES :-
1) This map is basically a modified map of the GLA mission 7 Soviet-Era Rocket Launch Facility of C&C Generals for ROTR.
2) If you encounter problems during the mission, feel free to say it so that it can be fixed.
3) This mission has two difficulty settings- EASY and HARD.
4) The start and end videos have not been modified as I don’t have any experience with it.
5) The in-game music is of the GLA faction. (Would like it if someone can change it into Russian).

INSTRUCTIONS :-
1) Download all four files. Put the maps in documents/ZH data/ Maps. Go to ROTR, Unofficial maps and play. ENJOY.
PS- Would like some feedback as it is the first time I have modified Generals missions for ROTR. Fell free to discuss the mission and also give some strategies and hints for completing the mission.
placed files in ZH data/ maps, they dont appear in game, tried putting them in their own folder, still doesnt work
^ Make sure the file's folder has the same name as the map and tga file inside
^Nope, same name, still doesnt show up
After putting the files it should look like this-C:\Users\Documents\Command And Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps\RUSSIA FAN MADE.
Inside which there should be two files- RUSSIA FAN MADE.tga and RUSSIA FAN MADE.map .
By the way have you checked whether the map is in the unofficial map list of ROTR.
I initially had the same problem as JK => couldn't see the maps in game, but after renaming the 2 directories to 'RUSSIA FAN MADE' and 'RUSSIA FAN MADE HARD' (all caps) I was able to see both maps in game (@ top of the list under unofficial maps).
Just finiished playing the 'easy' version ...
I haven't played Russia in quite awhile so it took a bit to relearn the units and their strengths/weaknesses. Didn't take too long to figure out the AI's SW targetting scheme so was able to build my base around said hits.
I kinda/sorta cheated by building 2 AGAS and using them to take out first the Chinese nuke launcher (which China never rebuilt) and then the US particle cannon (which the US rebuilt each time) then used GPs (cruise missile and fuel-air bomb) to keep taking out the US airfield.
While it's possible to bypass/ignore the Chinese base to complete the mission, I went ahead and wiped the entire map clean (ie, racked up the kills) before completing the mission.
Overall not a bad mission ... now to see what the HARD mission is like ...
Okay just played it, got wiped out on 20 minutes on 'easy'
Loads of fun though, got spawn camped by raptors killing my dozers and AA before i could get it built, then zerg rushed by china followed by a Nuke+PUC combo
Ill try again later, its a good mission, it'd be cool if you made more.
For the 'hard' version I found the Chinese would rebuild their nuke launcher, but since the AI always seems to target the same area w/ its super weapons I decided to ignore the super weapons (ie, take the hit and then repair the damage) and concentrate on pounding the Chinese HQ (delay/reset GPs?) and US airfield (reduce US strikes) as often as possible while whittling away at the US base (eg, used Boris to take out US HQ and then all US bulldozers, then it was a cake walk with a couple Sentinels and a handful of tesla tanks).
The Chinese ground forces seemed to come at me a little quicker, but nothing I couldn't handle with the initial set of Golems and a few Hips. US air strikes seemed to be about the same as the 'easy' version and not much of a bother as long as I micro-managed some AA assets at the eastern entrance to my base area.
The initial placement of the pathfinders/snipers caught me off guard ... tricky, tricky, tricky ... but nothing a couple Hips w/ NVG-upgraded conscripts couldn't handle.
In both the 'easy' and 'hard' versions I was able to maintain a low death limit which I'm assuming explains why the AI didn't hit me with much in the form of advanced GP weapons. Only GPs I recall seeing was the Chinese arty strike and the deployment of a minefield (late in game) ... no GPs (eg, A10, bombing run, Spectre) from the US ... so fairly limited losses meant I could concentrate on (initially) turtling and then (eventually) going on the offensive.
Again, nice little campaign map.
I can't download it. PLEASE don't use that shitty rapidshare after this. Use mediafire or something.
Can we see a picture?
I wanted to check this out before going to bed, but either the link doesn't work or I don't know how to navigate through the new Rapidshare. (When I pressed download, it said that there were none) I suggest you use Sendspace.
I thought this thread was long dead. Right now I am changing my internet connection so when I am back I will reupload the files.
Zipping is a thing you know.
the links is not working please reupload the mission! thanks
