Alright, I play shockwave and ROTR practically everyday on my off time.
Recently, I have a lot of free time, and while I can go to "other" methods to spend such time, I decided on one thing. I want to make a Single Player Map. I have the design on paper and have the story in place. However...I can't script worth a damn. So, please help me, community! Show me how to do these things: Getting a cargo plane to drop several rangers via the opening scene. Same thing with Colonel Burton (although I don't think thats really possible) Be able to render an abandoned base in the area to your control via discovering it. Also to dramatize the whole thing, I was wondering if I can waypoint the cargo plane to a set of stinger sites to be destroyed in Cine mode... If you guys can help me get this mission up and running, I'll post it here for everyone to use! Not sure if you can get the cargo plane to drop people off. I suppose it might be possible to rappel rangers down from chinooks, but burton can't do that....
Easy peasy for the base thing IF Team:Units sees Team:Base THEN Team:base control transfers to Team:Player -------------------- |

Alright, I've taken the base script down...ok!
Thats one down. I thought you could've done that with cargo planes cause I saw the thing go down in USA 4, but I think they may have just put "spawn ranger" all over the area. I'll change it to chinooks then. thanks for the tip -------------------- War...War never changes, but the way you tell it can decide whether it was glorious and heroic, or demonic and an act of terrorism.

Plane waypoints are pretty easy. remember, no sharp corners or the planes/helis will do something funky. Unless that's your intent.
Drama-wise, audio always works wonders. See if you can find some audio files to play during the combat drop. -------------------- |
