If we could all just not presume how a game would be like until it is out and reviewed, that would be great. I find making opinions and presumptuous to be simple moot at the moment given how little we've seen of the game thus far. I'm almost willing to make the claim that were it a carbon copy and we took the nostalgia goggles out, you'd find the first to be lack luster.
I will wait and reserve any opinions until several reviews are out, or I get my hands on it. I can already hear the bandwagons boarded up with nitpickers coming. -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

From what we have seen we can already say some about certain aspects of the game that is already added. But,most likely that we want to address are those that affect the gameplay.Mainly the cover mechanic. Some MINOR visual issues, like the snycned animations, the cartoony graphics, terrain, and some other things that clearly does not fit in the grim darkness of the 41st millenium,Ofcourse, these can be changed,as it is only in alpha/pre alpha. But,if the fans wouldnt address these,I doubt the devs will change these on their own. Seeing as how there's actually a reason behind the new graphics in DoW3, I doubt it will be changed any time soon. Lack of unit visibility is also a problem plaging a lot of modern rts games and mods. Fitting the lore's atmosphere is all well and good, however these are games, not movies. Gameplay should be the priority above everything else. -------------------- |

That's the point. There's no such thing as clarity in the grim darkness of the far future. The graphics and gameplay back at dow 1 and 2 were great if not perfect. As X1Destroy said, not every game should be under esports's standard. And it's not just about the graphics. This post has been edited by TimeBurner: 11 Jul 2016, 8:29 -------------------- |
