Online Gaming Help, How can I play SW online, Please Help ! |

My friends and have been trying to no avail to play online. We have tried the EA server and when we connect we are able to create a game but the other players screen selections are "greyed out". If anyone knows how to play online I would greatly appreciate the information.

Are you guys using a nocd-patch or TFD? One of those can affect you guys playing correctly.
Its better if you play on LAN. --------------------  |

I have recently installed a NoCD crack and used it but prior to that I used the normal setup. Which is the same for them.
We do play LAN when we can all get together. Thats the main reason we want to play online, Its hard to get everyone at one location. |

From what I remember of playing ShockWave through Zero Hour Online, the reason the game name text appears greyed out is because you are using a mod. Players using an unmodified Zero Hour will have game names that appear in white text.
What exactly happens when you try to join the greyed out game? --------------------  |

The games that are greyed out are unselectable.
Is there another server out there or is there a way I can host. I no nothing about networking.. |

install hamachi go to the shockwave settings and set LAN ip to the one hamachi gives u and u guys all join the same network that one of you create on hamachi and play over LAN. much faster than going thru EA's server anyways

Games greyed out are from a different version. If you and your friends have the exact same version of Shockwave it ought to work, but EA's servers may mess up there. --------------------  |
