Marksman and howitzers

When using the marksmans targeting ability, it is supposed to give the howitzer extended range to hit that specific target.
At extreme ranges the howitzer shells airburst instead.



These are the howitzers off in the lower right corner.



This is the target in the upper left corner.



The Solaris array here is where the shells air burst above and end up raining cluster munitions down at this point instead of hitting the target.

It's just a graphical oddity, the damage is still dealt properly.

I beg to differ. I fired atleast 15 or so times at that breeder reactor and it took zero damage. The shells that air bursted above did no damage to the Solaris also. Only the raining bomblets did damage.

If you ever decide to invade Russia, for the love of God, bring some warm clothes. We don't want you to blame the "evil Russian winter" when you get crushed, like everyone else who tried.



I can confirm this. It's been like that since 1.85 was released. But I would also like to note that this would happen to me only when the target decal was red. When it was blue, shells would always fall where they should. When it was yellow, it would mean that you're already in range with the regular barrage.
