I downloaded some custom campaigns for l4d but theres no add-ons option in extras menu. I put vpk files in addons folder. I try to extract files from it but still nothing.

I personaly never added costum maps yet but you might wanna google this or wait for Hobbesy to reply to this (or send him a pm) since he likely knows.

You don't extract anything from the .vpk, you simply put it in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\soho\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\addons\".
If that doesn't help, I suggest you read the tutorial on it here. Edit: You might want to post a link to the campaign you're trying to play too as the .vpk for it might now work. This post has been edited by Hobbesy: 6 Aug 2009, 7:49 |

I downloaded it from www.l4dmaps.com. Campaign is Back to School.
Also there wasnt addons folder when I installed game. I created it by myself. -------------------- |

Yes. I put vpk file in addons but nothing.

You need to double-click the .vpk file in the map AFAIK because only then it will install it.
