'Gargoyle' Gunship, might go into Ardent Seas. Is armed with 2 5" naval Railguns, and a load of internally stored anti-ship missiles.

I didn't even notice this until dad pointed out the similarity when I showed the renders to him, but did you draw some design inspiration from the A10 Thunderbolt II?

No inspiration from the Thunderbolt. The only inspiration I used was the VTOL from Crysis, for the way the engines are mounted:

Next unit I'm working on, a VTOL Stealth Fighter for the TDN, taking some obvious inspiration from the F-22.

That's what the Velociraptor is - the plane in Sir Chaff's post - I'm responsible for its forward swept wings
And yeah, the Su-47 and the F22 also were the main inspirations for my jet. This post has been edited by Sargeant Rho: 9 May 2015, 16:21 -------------------- |

Early in the morning, nothing to do, so random renders it is. The ship's un-textured, I added the surface grain in post.

Working on this plane for Ardent Seas:
The HAL-33-10 Airborne Laser Weapons Platform, basically an anti-aircraft Spectre. But buildable. This post has been edited by Sargeant Rho: 20 Aug 2015, 4:53 -------------------- |

Finished, also I've re-textured the Dual 8" Gun Turret that goes on the Battleship, and modeled and textured the Railgun upgrade for said turret.

Does the railgun have the ridiculous "blue laser"-type fire effect or something more akin to this?

I actually planned to port over the FX I made for Tiberian Apocalypse, without the rings, in order to distinguish the Rails from regular guns and missiles: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/10/93...Adjustments.jpg

And here's something I did yesterday (or today, depending on where you are). I didn't write the UI, I did modify it quite a bit however, and made all of the Artwork used in it.

Not that I can think of. When I say generic, I mean the pointy edges, the wings and the techno-looking stuff in general. Give me some organic spaceships any time. That's why I loved the Combine from HL2 and the Scrin.

Ah, ok. That wouldn't fit the idea of a high tech drone army we have planned for the Ravagers.
