I just saw this when browsing around. I'm shocked i did not come across this since the expansion was announced in september. More Info Here

I saw somewhere that you can export your squads of space marines from the original game which i think would be awesome. Also there is a chaos influence meter that determines how corrupt your units are to the forces of chaos. Im at office now...will need to dig more info and vids when i go home.....

The game was boring already because of the whole space marine fetish and of all the factions to add in the game they add a different flavor of space marines.

Good thing I got tired of DoW2 long ago.

PS: If they added female space marines, then it would be win.

Though, on the other hand Overdose, a DoW game without Chaos is no warhammer 40k game, so this is kind of the inevitable expansion for Chaos.

I like the DoW II singleplayer but in my oppinion it was absolute trash otherwise and not worth a "Dawn of War" tittle and should have been a different game all together.

^ and your oppinion seems to be very common around the net there are barely any sites that provide info and the wikipedia page of it is nearly blank where other game expansions usualy have lots of info.

I'm personaly very suprised that they have even bothered making an expansion pack considering the rather poor sales of DoW II.
It's allready a budget game even tho it's only a few months old.

I am just gonna wait until they add all the factions and then buy the "gold edition" or whatever. I still need to buy SoulStorm.

The moment I read about it not having Base Building, I cared 0% for this game.

This logically means that I don't give a Pizza about this Expansion.

the thing is.......i explicit remember how they say there will be base building in online mode, apparently building generatos is basebuilding

i mean, it was not a bad game but.......after all the hype it was a dissapointment(so they hype the tyranids so much during DOW1 days, and when they put them in DOW2 the only thing than i can see they would be unable to put them in DOW1 was for the lack of cool graphics dry.gif )

Yeah I was originally excited for a WH40k game based on the awesomeness of the CoH engine. But then they changed the playstyle far too much for skirmishes. I still haven't gotten DoW II and probably won't until the anthology is released.

Never liked DoW 2 much. To me it's the kind of game which feels empty, without anything exciting about it. All the weapons and units feel so weak, no big explosions or powerful Khorne berserkers like in the first one. Not to mention it forcing games for windows live, which comes with a terrible online service. Why can't we just have the good old online lobbies, which have always worked, instead of crappy automatch systems?
I very much doubt this expansion will change any of that significantly, thus I'll probably never get DoW 2.

I wish I hadn't gotten DoW2 there were like 15 others games my money could have been better spent on back then.
