so ive alrdy heard Treyarch is making Call of Duty 7 and it is to be in Vietnam which i think is a good thing considering there isnt a lot of Vietnam games and if they steal the MW2 engine like they did with W@W it should be pretty good what are your guys' thoughts

Another one? Already? Yes, Activision has two developers on the CoD franchise who are supposed to alternatingly bring one out each year. So each is supposed to be two years in development. Welcome my son Welcome to the machine I myself am extremely "meh" at the concept of a Vietnam CoD, let alone a Treyarch one. Even if they decide to put in dedis . -------------------- TN

So what we're gonna see is essentially slightly less modern warfare with 100% jungle environments which basically play like the Pacific missions in WaW with even more gratuitous gore and the probability of a shock-scene in which you wipe out the entire populace of a Vietnamese village with napalm...Released on Veterans Day for maximum tactlessness.

Vietnam Zombies o.O wide open jungle enviroments were zombies could come from evrywere. |

...even more gratuitous gore and the probability of a shock-scene in which you wipe out the entire populace of a Vietnamese village with napalm... ...which might include nastier surprises like being shish kebab'd in punji spike traps (yikes!), Bouncing Betties, and gassing forests (and with it, the people, enemies and civs alike) with Agent Orange. -------------------- "Not in mood...go away..." You obviously haven't watched a lot of Vietnam movies. Eventually there is always rape or children being burned alive by napalm and its even worse when its not enough to put them out of their misery. Those are American movies too by the way. The only good thing about Vietnam is that people didn't hesitate to show the truth. Let's hope the same is done with this War on Terror eventually.

I have thought about CoD7 before and came to the conclusion that there is no historical scenario that would really work.
Vietnam: The same problem BF:Vietnam had, there would be nothing but jungle. Such a game would become boring after an hour. Gulf War: The same with desert. And it would be too close to MW Cold War gone hot: It wouldn't be any different than the US missions of MW2. minus the UAVs WW1: I don't think anyone would like to see that. Anything past WW2 wouldn't work as a FPS game. So whats left? Future scenario? Alternate past? Like WW2 again with a different story. Any interesting war-scenarios left? However if they come up with good ideas, anything is possible |

It's a hypothetical game in which Hitler won WWII since the USA never joined, and then decides to invade the USA after a decade or so using all of his advanced concepts. |

That game was so bad that i returned it 2 hours after i purchased it. Word's can't even begin to discribe how shitty that game was if you ever want to play a game just to see how shitty a game can be then be sure to get that one. -------------------- |

However if they come up with good ideas, anything is possible Il-2 Sturmovik 1946-esque alternate history scenarios, where the Germans continue the fight with the Russians perhaps (not just in the air, of course)? I haven't played it because I only saw a high score from IGN and tbh nobody else ever talked to me abt it, so I decided to pass even though the premise of the story got my curiosity. |

I'd wouldn't mind 'Nam or maybe even Korea. AFAIK, there's never been a Korean War-themed FPS ever made... -------------------- "Not in mood...go away..." "We are going to have to act, if we want to live in a different world." Bringing wrath to a forum near you since 2009! |

While they're utilizing the "Guitar Hero model", why not release a CoD suitable for kids as well?
Lego CoD anyone? -------------------- |
