How about some purely cosmetic suggestions to increase the fun factor in the game?
GLA -Detail in the GLA Barracks: a tattered flag on the structure and ivory from elephants at the entrance of the tunnel - helps to differentiate it from the Hideout. -Variants for Angry Mob: an African version of the group with black skin, some members could smoke a cigar or use a ritualistic mask - shaamans. -Variants for Grad and Ural Truck: the truck would still be the old Ural however could vary between versions with headlights, larger tires, different insigneas on the hood, etc... -Variants for Motorcycles: tricycles and quadrocycles. -Variants for Bomb Truck: a fuel truck loaded with explosives. Russia -Golem laser system: would only active - red - when the Golem was ordered to attack a target. -Grumble deployed sound: one threatening voice line heard by all, something like: "No-fly zone now!". USA -Pathfinder Team: rather than just a shooter two men, a shooter and a spotter with binoculars. Maps -On some maps with villages could be added sounds of gunfire and explosions in the atmosphere creating a climate of immersion in war. -------------------- You already imagined how would be SAP in the ROTR's universe? Would you prefer aesthetic elements which may not even show up on lower graphics settings, or key unique game-play features like the recycler to be implemented.
The last one can be added by making custom maps and adding the sfx yourself... -------------------- |

They don't have to be a priority that's for sure, maybe after 2.0 or something.

I'm certainly in favour of some new skins for the Angry Mob, especially en masse it becomes rather stupid to see the same civilians again and again. Then again the detail on those people isn't high to begin with.

According Com4de's comment in Moddb about few months ago, that already planned. We've made (soon to be revealed) battle buses but they won't appear like the ones stated there. I'm always down for more variety, but they're an awful lot of work to do. Every one is a unique model so you have to make separate damaged/destroy/other state models for each variant. Plus the salvage upgrades and damaged states for the salvaged versions. That's like nearly a dozen models/textures for one variant. I could be off though because I'm not a modeler .
But on that topic I always thought it'd be pretty damn awesome for a Grad variant (If such a thing is to be made) to be one of these things just with a giant missile-rack instead of a cement mixer. This post has been edited by Pandut: 26 Mar 2014, 21:33 |

Maybe one of these would serve well for a variant of the Bomb Truck would look like this: a dump truck, one fuel and one with a cement mixer, all loaded with explosives, for fun I imagine the logo written in a mixer: "Progress Corp." - would be a parody against Western contractors in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc being used for something really destructive. -------------------- You already imagined how would be SAP in the ROTR's universe? That should be lines for the lynx. While the Troop Crawler is designed to have a bus driver's lines from the original. But as far as I'm aware, the Lynx is Swedish. Thus those lines wouldn't fit at all. (Trust me, I know how we Swedes talk) -------------------- |

The Battlemaster has six variants. On the other hand, the Hopper has SIXTEEN! Right, mixed them up. I'm extremely torn about whether to build Hoppers or not because of the amount of variants. -------------------- And then...

More minor things for the game.
ECA -Venom Sniper Rifle: change the death animation making soldiers into pieces rather than simply die in 'normal' way. (I imagine the size of the projectile and the speed...). -Bulldog Turret Activation Sound: add an electronic sound to the Bulldog Turret when it is activated and deactivated. USA -Osprey Light: add a flashing red light on each rotor of the helicopter on night maps. CHINA -Breeder Reactor Damaged Animation: when the structure is damaged add the animation of radioactive puddles on the floor suggesting leaks - similar to radioactive detail of the Tao's CC in SHW. MISC -Stealth Detection Sound: add a sound effect for every time a enemy unit is detected on the screen. (Useful especially in cases of detection of mines and demo traps). -Capture Building Sound: add a sound effect signaling that the structure was captured. -------------------- You already imagined how would be SAP in the ROTR's universe?
