Wait...
Are you serious? This is possibly the best thing to ever come out of the entire Zero Hour modding community: a viable replacement for Hamachi! I would give my firstborn and half my liver if all ZH mods were to start utilising this (or similar) technology. -------------------- |

^My thoughts exactly, ITS GLORIOUS
That doesn't state the reason,i it simply states that Shockwave SWR.Net won't happen until the RotR one is experimented with. Allright Son you want reasons? -This was never really planned for shockwave, -Shockwave development is done for now.The return is a vauge maybe -Rise of the Reds is the main Focus of SWR at the momment -If you simply add the files and try to run SWR net(I know you guys did the same with ROTR in game ranger) Then we would have a flood of people with Shockwave and ROTR on the same network. That would be extreemly messy, Im not that good with the tech details.Doing the same thing for just Shockwave maybe considerd a waste of resources/time. -Like I said before Shockwaves development has ended for now.Your going to have a major headache trying to tell people from across the globe that your using General_Camos Patch etc... Do you need more? This post has been edited by (USA)Bruce: 2 Aug 2014, 22:14 -------------------- |

Hell, it's about time. Seriously this is awesome news. No more fiddling with Hamachi or other programs. This is very cool, well done team! -------------------- "Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat" -Sun Tzu

Ah yes, SWR.net. It's pretty cool new feature in 1.85. But, there is still a small problem with miss match.

I expect that after 1.85 is released there will be a lot more people playing ROTR online.

You know this made me think, maybe we are actually predicting a lot of stuff right about what SWR is going to make but they tell us no to keep it a surprise.

Now you've transformed this mod into the Generals 2 EA Games wished to make, but was too stupid/blinded by money to implement/care. I commend you, SWR Productions.
One question, how will you maintain such awesomesauce? This post has been edited by Bergzak: 5 Aug 2014, 6:40 |

This is some great news, but I've got once single question, where will the server be based, with regarts to lag from having to send data across the ocean and what not.
I personally live in the Netherlands and my internet connection is prett fancy, so not the biggest of deals for me, yet I would like to know if I can expect a pint from 100+ or arround 20. |
