Devs, would get mad and try to extract my eyeballs with a wood spoon if I ask you guys to change the effect displayed when a "death" chopper hull crash against a building? I mean, using any explosion of the existing ones, nothing too complicated.

I could do it myself, but it will be a nice think to see on replays/streams.

Not codeable afaik
Scud
Rly? I mean, the debris created isn't a FX itself?
Zeke
The chopper's death is the same no matter how or where it dies. You can't make a specific death fx trigger only when hitting buildings.
Scud
I'm not talking about a special death, but instead of that little debris make it a general explosion (for all chopper). Maybe I'm not expressing myself well, sorry, my english is awful, I'll look the code more and see what I can find. Anyway, thanks for your time Zeke.

Might be codewise, but in-game when they hit a building the wreck just disappears and a few tiny pieces of debris spawn on the spot. Compared to crashing onto normal terrain, a lot less effects are triggered.

The dude here is asking whether it's possible to substitute those small pieces with something more cool.

My guess is that it's hardcoded because it looks generic regardless of what type of plane/heli crashes into buildings. Probably not possible to do anything with it, but I'm just assuming this, feel free to investigate.
