Full Version: General Leang's taunts?

I couldn't hear any in her map except for a comment about me defeating her, right after I destroyed her base (but before exiting the mission to her congratulations screen).

I experienced that as well. Most probably a bug in the map with the taunt script folder not properly initialized.

Yes, edit the map and look for the script that enables the taunts, check why it's not working and fix that. After editing put the map back into the .big file and start it (savegame from the start of the mission should work).

I'm a total n00b so I'd like some guidance on how to do this, please.

It's one of the reasons I joined the forum, even. The main one being to try to add General Fai to the challenge. tongue.gif

Oh dear, I also have the same problem but don't know how to edit.

So if someone has a .big file that fixed it then we don't need to worry about the editing problem!

If I am correctly on this one, it has a different reason.
Leang is the Boss General, mainly EA failed to create Ironside and Deathstrike.
that's why Leang has multiple tech units and structures of the 3 originally factions.

Her taunts however, are recorded as a normal '1-faction-challange-general'.
So not all taunts are designed to be used for an all-faction-general.

Second, in the challange file.
If you open this with worldbuilder, you easily can see that there is not a folder with the programmed taunts.

All of the challenges have them. For instance, if you destroy the first nuclear silo of Tao, he would say something.
Like he would cry about the same line, everytime you destroy his second silo. Regardless how you destroyed it, and with what general you are playing with
It's the idea of creating a trigger, to tell the CPU to play the certain taunt.

IF 'silo' is destroyed;
THEN play 'taunt_xxx
