Yes Generals, the long-awaited moment is finally here. The 11th anniversary of C&C Shockwave is upon us, and with that, the release of our Anniversary patch. 11 years ago on this date, The_Hunter released C&C Shockwave 0.8 to the public. At the time, it was a simple balance patch with a couple of new units. It has significantly grown since then to become more than that, but still contains the fast paced gameplay we love from the original Zero Hour. And now, a new version dawns on us, in a new era of the C&C community. On behalf of the SWR team, The_Hunter, and myself, we thank you for your support throughout the years and welcome many more exciting years to come. We will continue to support the Shockwave community for the forseeable future, and will continue to make patches to balance the game, fix bugs, and maybe even add a few surprises along the way. Changelog Do note that this is a full version, and you should uninstall 1.1 before installing this. Also note that we haven't tested this with the General's Challenges, which will be entirely reworked in a future patch. Also, we will not be providing a no-installer/Mac release for this version. (due to a limitation of the Mac release of the game it will crash consistently) Also check out Hecthor Doomhammer's release streams on Friday at 19:00 UTC and Sunday at 14:00 UTC. Look for games being hosted by Hecthor Doomhammer himself during those times if you wish to be on the stream. See you on the battlefield! This post has been edited by The_Hunter: 16 Mar 2016, 15:50 |

I didn't think that simple post of DustyRhodes, where he just said his own opinion will be perceived as aggression. Hunter, if you don't wanna listen anybody except your testers and somebody who will say how good you are and how great mod you've done - it's your right, but we also have right to say our opinion, and if it not like for somebody it not means we are agressive, learn to hear alternative point of view. When the only thing you do since the moment you the change log was posted is tell us how we are wrong and indirectly say that we don't know what we are doing what kind of reaction would you expect? Now about mod. I will test it, but as I see in the changelog, mod changed in worse way, because allmost all the problems hadn't been fixed, also there was create a new problems, for example weak quads for all GLA, and many others. I don't know what's happened with hunter, but I feel it's allready not that man who has created the most balanced mod for zero hour a long time ago. 1.2 is unlucky realise, I see it allready. I said that I can help, but nobody listened me. I still can help, but I doubt I can change something. You say you wonder why nobody is taking you seriously is probably because you (at very least appear to) have that exact same passive aggressive attitude. If that is not how you intend toe come across to others then you should consider chosing to your words more carefully. And don't mistake my what i'm saying for only wanting to be praised as to use your words "somebody who will say how good you are and how great mod you've done" because that's absolutely not what i'm aiming for. Unlike what people (and apparently you) might think of me i actually do care about the general opinion of everyone present in this community. Finally you're discussing game balance in an announcement topic post, its much easier to post your own topics on whatever you feel is an issue in the actual ShockWave forum. That way they can actually be properly discussed and we can actually use that feedback properly. -------------------- |
