Now here are the rules:
It has to be units that are/have been in the game, but units that are coming Soon do not count.

Each player is allowed to define one faction with only ONE unit.Also you have to explain why....So I'll start off;

Vanguard,
It requires a droneplant to build as US is based around drones.
Costs more then any other antigarrison unit
Yet they can efficently kill off shocktroopers with both weapons if presented in equal numbers (I remember testing this with MP)
I abused this unit to get it nerfed (RIP turret)
They can engage lightly armoured targets so vee rushes with five vanguards inside to have drones flying around hard counters CHina at T0 (but requires too much micro)
They can detect stealth/Scout ahead which fits the US factions "Play smart" theme
They can clear garrisons and the US faction sure has alot of that, Combat drops,Microwaves,nighthawks,Green Berets aside.
They deal AOE damage which isnt something thats found in the US so thats -1 point for the vanguard.
It benefits from chemical suits upgrade hence it fits the unit preservation idea of the US faction.Not to mention Ambulance and Mule drone benefits
Also benefits from Advanced training like every other US unit that isnt a drone.
Benefits from battleplans thats present in any unit that isnt a drone.

Hence the Vanguards:
Niche role by mid-late game that can be outdone or be unessary
High price
Multirole functions

Is In my eyes the THE unit that can define USA

It acts as a defensive mobile artillery battery that counters artillery from range, fullfilling both the long range bombardment theme and defensive theme ECA has. However they can't be mass produced, also fitting the theme that ECA has limited number of units, relying on quality upgrades such as cluster munitions and stuff like that.

High cost but very useful can crush small tanks. you can upgrade them with gattlig cannon to counter aircraft.Its not slow as Manticore or Sentinel

Jarmen Kell, because that bastard not only took out my conscripts and a heroic Hind, but also got money for that! Where is that invisible rat? Where is their base at all? Why do my units keep blowing up without seeing anyone?! Also, back in 1.7 he took out THREE A-10 with ONE hit.

Conscript, because 20 of them can not do much. But if you "accidentally" kill one... And because "Blyat! I told you they were sneaky: they've stolen out structure!"

Russia: Boris is arrived! Because this is the only hero unit that can be build in two different variants (RPG and MG). Because it's the only unit that can take out any defense structure by 1 airstrike if he have veteran promotion. It's the only hero who can take out blob of your infantry + few light vehicles then inject some meds and with battle cry: "For mother Russia!" take out full HP Blackhawk firing him at this moment. If he have different mood today he can always take RPG instead MG to go for some tankblowing . Do you want for 2 shots 1 tank kill? Sure not a problem. And of course you can always kill some disobedient conscript which to not want to shoot. After his death it will be too dangerous say to Boris that Russia is not stronK .

Hunter Killer Drone, because it is T0, expendable. and benefits from the most upgrades out of all fixed-winged aircraft.
They become really potent vs vehicles and even buildings when upgraded with Laser Guided Missiles.
Advanced Drone Warfare allows them to stealth themselves making them untouchable for armys without stealth detection.
