First we would like to welcome everyone at our new forums, we've taken a great deal of time and devotion to bring our own server Softalogic online, complete with our domain name and forum to you today. There's still much work to do but to first christen our new home we'd like to continue with this new series of updates until 1.5. Let's move on shall we? American Tomahawk The Tomahawk performed unimpressively during the Eurasian War. Even though the Chinese and GLA used outdated artillery, they still managed to outperform the tomahawk. Having spent too much money developing the tomahawk in the first place, it was decided against replacing it as the primary artillery system by the US military. The new Tomahawk cruise missile is expected to turn a new page in this book. The new Tomahawk is capable of being operated in two modes, high speed and cruise. High speed mode allows the missile to reach its target quickly while in cruise mode the missile’s wings are deployed and the missile becomes capable of reaching great distances. US Commanders should pick the mode best suited for the task at hand. American Paladin Tank The Paladin Tank project was considered a complete success by the US military. The Paladin was first introduced when point laser defenses were considered outlandish by many. At the time, the Paladin was only inferior to the Overlord. Though with the introduction of the Sentinel the world has now a new king of tanks, the Paladin still performs remarkably. US armor may lack in brute strength when comparing to Russian and Chinese armor, however, what they lack in brute strength they make it up with technology and ingenuity. I assume it still has the seeking ability in both modes, right? No the longer range fire mode does not have seeking otherwise there would be little reason to use the faster seeking fire mode. Now these are awesome. As great as the new Paladin turret looks though, the chassis doesn't seem to fit it. It seems plain compared to the rest of the tank. Some improvements to the skin would also be great. The odd looking, yellow/brown-gradient, that covers the barrel's evacuator doesn't really match the cool-grey skin of the tank. Otherwise, this is too much good stuff. The thing is i didn't want to change to much of the original paladin design and i wasn't quite sure what to do to the chassis without altering it severly also the barrel texture is something they had since gen 1.0 and i'd just prefer sticking to that look for old schools sake. my second post in this forum, my second question. Could you give us a range comparision about the tomahwk range in cruise mode in term screen,or other units? Like two times the range of the MSTAs or the same range or something like that? Also the missile in cruise mode con be shoot down by airplane or sam like iglas? Thanks The cruis mode missiles have a range of 700 (400 for the normal ones) and they cannot be shotdown by anything other than base defences or PLD's -------------------- |

No the longer range fire mode does not have seeking otherwise there would be little reason to use the faster seeking fire mode. Hmm, I would have thought the other way around. I guess you can "imagine" that the tomahawk has a predetermined flight route that cannot be changed in cruise mode. I assumed that both modes would still have guidance, but when a missile is fired in high-speed mode, it has a slower turning speed and cannot turn fast enough in-scale of it's velocity to hit fast, moving targets. Your idea sounds much more balanced. As fore the tomahawk missile itself, I'm hoping for an explosion 10x more awesome that the default, crappy, orange/red flareup, that made it appear so weak in vanilla ZH.
