Cheers for the suggestions! I watched some episodes of Cowboy Bebop on TV a couple of years ago, when they where broadcasted here (shame it was at such a ridiculous time though). It was funny, even though I didn't understand much of it I'll add that one and some the others to my list of 'anime to watch/read'

Been a while since I updated this...
Claymore: it has a cool ending, but a bit dramatic imho. Perhaps I should read the Manga as it continues after where the anime series ended. Tengen Toppe Gurran Lagann: this one is completely batshit insane, but the good one. I never laughed so much while watching anime I now understand why it is so popular. I'm almost finished with this one: 5 episodes remaining. As for after that: I have a whole list of stuff to watch (thanks to Comr4de and Overdose), so it shouldn't be hard -------------------- |

Hehe, no problem man.
Yeah read the manga for Claymore, the anime ended that way because they had to end it at some point. The manga however continues the plot quite a bit, so give it a try for sure -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

The ending is what made the anime horrible, the parts that were canon to the manga were brilliant, but once it branched off it just got 'eh'.

Best anime ever: Break Blade Will add it to my list. Also, currently watching Fairy Tail. God, that one is happy I also... acquired Hellsing (both TV series and OVA) as videos on my PC in a higher resolution then the versions I watch online. Anyone heard some news about OVA 8 and further? -------------------- |

Break Blade is one of the few mechas that I like, but it takes a century and a half to get an episode out. Fairy Tail is a good anime, although I skipped some episodes...
Those who were watching Bleach I recommend you chose to end it after the last week's episode, because it's going in a stupid direction and it should have ended there. Because I'm a patient man I'm still watching Naruto and reading the manga. Skipping stupid filler episodes is how I'm able to go on. The story keeps me entertained, but the fights are the coolest in any anime I've seen; it's the most big budget anime so it should be. Hopefully my grandchildren will see the end of it. Although Naruto was my first step into to the anime fan world no show beats One Piece for me. None of you watching it? This post has been edited by DragonHawk: 4 Mar 2011, 11:06 |

All OVAs are slow because they are meant for a blu-ray/DVD each FYI.
Meanwhile crap animes like Bleach and One Piece episodes number in the 1000s because they are low budget, rushed and full of fillers. No offense. -------------------- |

Usually skipping fillers so I'm not that affected. Bleach had an excuse because the manga author was rather slow, Naruto on the other hand has no such excuses, they just drag it on because it cashes in a lot. One Piece improved in graphics, but I did have to put up with it for a good while. It has a lot of episodes because people like it, if you don't it's a matter of taste or you couldn't endure the quality. There are a lot of good quality anime out there that end after 12-24 episodes, because... it's mostly not worth continuing, no viewers, especially the newer ones.
Not complaining about OVAs, but can't say I wouldn't enjoy seeing it released more often. |

I stay away from Bleach, One Piece and Naruto on purpose, because I know they drag along so much, and I doubt they will keep my interest for long.
Also, while I had holidays this week, I spend more time at my mod, playing Minecraft with friends, and watching all Lord of the Rings movies again than watching anime EDIT: also, I think my new avi/signature says enough about which anime I'm following atm This post has been edited by Dutchygamer: 12 Mar 2011, 11:41 -------------------- |

Yes, Fairy Tail is a cool anime, although I don't think we'll be getting any manga or anime for a while.

"Shocking!" Ehm, anyways... As I now have an internship on the other side of the bloody country, I have about 2 hours a day of travelling time. As I now also have an iPad, what better way to spend the time then reading mangas? My list of already-read mangas and currently-reading mangas: QUOTE ===Read Manga=== Hellsing Bloody Monday Touhou: Silent sinner of Blue Touhou: Strange and Bright Nature Deity Ghost in the Shell Cowboy Bebop Cowboy Bebop: Shooting Star Bloody Monday 2 ===Currently reading=== Hellsing: The Dawn Fairy Tail Touhou: Oriental Sacred Place Touhou: Wild and Horned Hermit Bloody Monday - Last Season Hetalia: Axis Powers Samurai Deeper Kyo With the currently-reading it's mostly waiting for new episodes. I'm currently actively reading Samurai Deeper Kyo. I can recommend this one if you like Samurai. The style seems to be a bit between Fairy Tail and Hellsing. I just wished I could access the Black Lagoon and Claymore mangas with my iPad... The only way I can access them is by visiting a site that hosts those images, and manually switching between pages via the browser. Ah well, can't have it all now can I I haven't been watching much anime though. Only exception are the latest Hellsing OVA's. I also have... 'acquired' several series which I may watch when I can find the time. As always, if you have tips for me, go ahead -------------------- |
