Of what ship?
The Battlecruiser has a single heavy multi-role missile launcher in the front that can fire at everything, 4 hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile (ASM) launchers, a VLS that fires subsonic ASMs and maybe ballistic ASMs, as well as 4 5" gun turrets, and has 4 Sea-RAMs for defensive purposes. The gun turrets can be upgraded to railguns. The hypersonic ASMs might be an upgrade to ASMs like the Harpoon instead of the standard weaponry, that's yet to be determined. The Destroyer is armed with 4 Subsonic ASM batteries, an 8" gun turret that can be upgraded to a railgun, or later on replaced by a particle cannon, while th ASM launchers can be upgraded to a sort of naval grenade battery like the ones seen in Battleship. It also has 2 Sea-RAM turrets and a single VLS firing short range missiles at aircraft and ships. And yes, it's going to be an RTS. On the sides? That's splinter camo. I mostly did a little bit of work on the destroyer to see if my PC would now handle a 2048x4096 PSD without lagging like hell. The SSD seems to have alleviated it somehow, since I can now work on them with plenty of layers which previously would have caused the PC to slow down drastically.

Yeah, but, it doesn't make sense on a warship. At sea, everyone can see a huge ship without obstructions. Camouflage, especially visual, would be useless unless it's just for show. Or one of those striped zebra-camouflages the Brits had in WW2.

It is just for show in this case. I couldn't use proper camo patterns in a game anyway, without confusing people.
There Are ships with similar camo paintings though: http://breakingdefense.com/wp-content/uplo...n-dr144-174.jpg http://www.hyperstealth.com/Sea/SHIP_Camo_...ttern_lg[1].jpg This post has been edited by Sargeant Rho: 27 Aug 2014, 14:38 -------------------- |

Yh nvm, i saw in the previous pages one ship with that similar pattern, which actually looks nice..
One question , i dont know what this game is so i dont know what it supports, but, will you make an aircraft carrier? |

Yes, a carrier is planned. Three of them, in fact. If you dilate the definition of "carrier" a bit, most ships are. Naval helos can land on every ship that has a Helipad. But there will be three different true carriers.
Almost forgot to show this one: It'll be a Corvette, designed to annoy the enemy. This post has been edited by Sargeant Rho: 27 Aug 2014, 18:43 -------------------- |

Camouflage itself is fine, but the way you painted those lightning like lines on the front seems very weird.
I would suggest a more blocky camouflage like you see on the pictures you've posted. Model is cool though ; ) -------------------- |

It's basically a visby with more weaponry.

Btw, I have a small request.. The next time (or other time) you edit or create an model (just the objects creation and manipulation), could you record it? I'm interest to know on how you create your objects/models

I have a very messy workflow, and am not a good "source" to learn from in that regard, but I can do that.

I think I'm pretty much fully occupied between Girlfriend, Job, Rogue Republic and my own project those ships are for Currently I'm working on a hover tank, armed with a 40mm cannon and two Milan ATGMs, powered by twin ceramic hydrogen turbines powering the electric hover ducted fans. I'd just like to ask, did you finish texturing this awesome thing? If so I really want to see it -------------------- Your feeling of helplessness is your best friend, savage.

Not yet, there are other things for RR to do before I get to texturing the hovertank, but it's definitely coming.

Awesome boats, Sergeant! I really love the slanted bow; makes it look like it can ram enemy ships.

Well, the point of the exaggerated bow ram is making it look more agressive, apparently it accomplished that
It also has the side-effect of producing a smaller wake, making it harder to detect on sonar. -------------------- |
