All GLA Units Still Don't Have The Generals Symbols On Them
Most USA & China Units Don't Have The Generals Symbols On Them Yet Questions. Suggestions. Predictions. 1#Q: Is The Demo Track Exclusive to GLA Terror Cell General?. Because I Don't See The Terror Cell Logo on it 2#Q: The Nuke Cannon is Exclusive to China Special Weapons General? Because The Special Weapons Logo is on it 3#Q: The Mortar Track is for ECA Fire Support General Right? Since The Fire Support Logo Is On It. 4#Q: Is The WASP Hive for USA Air Force General Right?. Because I Don't See The Air Force Logo on it 5#Q: The Banshee ECM Tank is for China Secret Police Right?. Since the Secret Police Logo is on it 6#Q: You Said The Propaganda Airship is for Secret Police General?. Because I Don't See The Secret Police Logo on it 7#Q: Who's Getting The Old Scorpion Tank. is it Bio Command or Terror Cell?. 8#Q: Is The Emperor Overlord Returning?. Because You Said Only Red Army Gets The Regular Overlord. The Emperor Could go to Special Weapons or Secret Police Since His Tactics Propaganda or Are They Getting Something Else. Something Similar?. 9#Q: How Come The Bradley IFV Gets The Tank Command Logo When it is Upgraded?. 10#Q: Is The Warlord General Getting a Heavy Tank Unit?. Because it Says The Marauder Tank is a Medium Class Tank. Warlord Should get a Tank The Same Size as The Paladin Tank or The Golem Tank?. Not The Same Size as Overlord Tank. Sentinel Tank. or Basilisk Tank From Shockwave. Since His Tactics Overwhelming Brutality. 11#Q: What About Special Forces Generals. He Should Get a Unit Like Some Heavy APC That has Fire Ports like the Old Humvee. Assault Crawler. or Some Kind of Covert Ops Stealth Vehicle?. 12#Q: Whats Bio Command General Gonna Get?. Is He Getting the Anthrax Gamma Upgrade like his predecessor Dr. Thrax?. Will his Toxin Units be Unique?. Is He Getting The Toxin Rebels like Dr. Thrax?. 13#Q: What About Terror Cell General?. Is He a Mix of Stealth and Demolition General?. Is The Saboteur Retuning. is it Gonna be Exclusive to Him?. What About the Advanced Demo Traps From Juhziz?. Maybe Because His Tactics Guerrilla Terrorism. So The Saboteur Should Suit Him Well. 14#Q: Zhukovs Getting The Regular Hokum and Orlovs Getting The BlackShark. The Hind and the Hunchback. While Aleksandrs Getting The Havoc and The PAK FA Right?. 15#Q: What Kind of Unit is The Royal Guard General Getting?. Are Any of These Questions True or False?. Because Most of these Predictions. Suggestions. Questions. Could Be Accurate?. PS: Don't Take Any of These Seriously. |

I don't see a reason to lock this. There's nothing wrong with trying to gather faction details via a process of elimination/verifying available information.
1 - Demo Tracks will be exclusive to Terror Cell 2 - Nuke Cannons will be exclusive to Special Weapons 3 - Mortar Tracks will be exclusive to Fire Support 4 - WASP Hives will be exclusive to Air Force 5 - Banshees will be exclusive to Secret Police 6 - Propaganda Airships will be exclusive to Secret Police 7 - The old Scorpion will be available to Terror Cell 8 - As it stands right now, the Emperor will not make a return as it's basically just a souped-up Overlord which is already exclusive to Red Army 9 - Random design decision, doesn't mean a thing 10 - Warlord will have exclusive access to the Marauder which will eventually be very different from the current version in order to make it more interesting 11 - That's classified at this time 12 - Anthrax Beta is already exclusive to Bio Command. As such, Anthrax Gamma is scrapped entirely. He will of course have unique toxin themed units, but the cripplingly overspecialised Toxin Rebel is not one of them 13 - The Saboteur has been scrapped because most of his abilities now belong to the ECA hero. Functionally, Terror Cell is kind of a blend between Stealth and Demo 14 - Orlov gets the Hind, the Hokum and the Hunchback, Zhukov and Aleksandr get the Havoc in addition to one yet-to-be-disclosed helicopter respectively 15 - Royal Guard gets improved versions of regular ECA defences, additional logistics capabilities and units that are geared towards defensive support |

9 - Random design decision, doesn't mean a thing IIRC Isn't it because Composite Armor is exclusive to Bradley? -------------------- |

Mainly the fact that Yusuuf will be designed to favour fast guerilla strikes and raiding with light units. He's also the most staunch backwards thinking bloke in the entire GLA who probably considered it a blasphemy that his fellow leaders are now using an old British Centurion tank.

7 - The old Scorpion will be available to Terror Cell The wheely version or the normal version? Great nostalgia trip, although I do love the new Scorpion. 13 - Functionally, Terror Cell is kind of a blend between Stealth and Demo Sounds perfect, poor old Kassad was lacking in the Boom! department Mainly the fact that Yusuuf will be designed to favour fast guerilla strikes and raiding with light units. He's also the most staunch backwards thinking bloke in the entire GLA who probably considered it a blasphemy that his fellow leaders are now using an old British Centurion tank. I suppose horse-mounted infantry are out of the question? This post has been edited by Lobo Solitario: 14 Feb 2013, 11:03 |

They will also have unique artillery units, albeit in a different design niche. The Mortar Track is unique in that it is available at Tier-1 in addition to Charles' Claymore Howitzer which'll be Tier-2. The other ECA Generals will only have unique niche equivalents at Tier-2.

I have been wondering about General Aleksandr's railgun tech is it going to be an upgrade that affects some of his tanks or will it only be on his MBTs ?
and sorry if this question has been answered in the past if so then i seem to be very bad at finding it! This post has been edited by JamBai: 14 Feb 2013, 12:07 |

I guess the generals will be much more unique than in ZH. Hopefully no generals turns out to be worthless. I had that feeling in ZH. Always preferred the plain factions.

^ Since the Claymore basically -is- a mobile version of the Howitzer Position (which is a Tier-2 structure itself), it has to be a late game unit as well.

So basically we ECA players have a tier1 artillery as a tier2 unit at the moment ? The Mortartrack feels a bit underpowered compared to other artilleries. It could be slightly more precise and use harder hitting shells. -------------------- |

QUOTE 3 - Mortar Tracks will be exclusive to Fire Support Let me guess, Mechanized Assault will have a mobile artillery as a replacement then? Something like that panzerweffer of Juhziz in shockwave? QUOTE I have been wondering about General Aleksandr's railgun tech is it going to be an upgrade that affects some of his tanks or will it only be on his MBTs ? Yeah, will it be an upgrade or Experimental Weapons will get Railgun Kodiak at start? Other questions: Will the Osprey be the one that will become USA vehicle transporter or will it be another kind of heli? Will Bradley still get the commanche or replaced by something else? Will the Hopper tanks become exclusive to Red Army or someone elses? What will be the gameplay type of Secrect Police? Since Black napalm will be exclusive to Special Weapons, what about nuclear tank and uranium shells? Will GP like Armor Battalion is required to build specialized vehicle in 2.0? How much Infantry units shall Special Forces have? Will the Golem and Sentinel be available at the sametime? Will 1 of the Russian generals have something as a replacement for the frogfoot? The USA's planned vehicle transport heli is going to be entirely different. 2 - He gets the regular Comanche. 3 - Hoppers will be available to all Chinese Generals. 4 - Lots of hacking, ECM, propaganda as well as a number special infantry units and vehicles that can be used somewhat more tactically compared to the others. 5 - Nuclear Tanks, Depleted Uranium Shells and Isotope Stability will remain available to all Chinese Generals as they are necessary global upgrades for the late game (speed + firepower + making sure that your tank blobs don't self-destruct) 6 - There will still be a few 'spend a point to unlock unit X' type General Powers, but we'll make sure that the units they bring are actually worth it. Armored Company is actually one of the unlocks that'll most likely be removed. 7 - According to current plans, a total of six. That includes common units like Burton and Missile Defenders though, so it's a bit of a cryptic information. 8 - No. Golems are exclusive to Aleksandr whereas the Sentinel is available to Orlov and Zhukov. 9 - Not planned at this time. Also, I'm hereby informing you guys that the Railgun Kodiak is officially obsolete: Aleksandr is actually getting a unique MBT that will later benefit from a railgun upgrade. |

I think it would be nice to have more information about current activities in public space.
A few teaser videos that show the generals' uniqueness would be extremely nice and should get attention on ModDB. Is there even a newsletter for ROTR? I have searched, but could not find one. -------------------- DEMAND combat cycle nukeneers!

A question that I had in mind since quite a while about 2.0 ECA protocoles.
Will each ECA general get his own protocole? German mechanized assault will have Manticore. Fire support will have Pandora And defensive general will have Venom, whatever it is. |

EDIT: Also on the topic of Aleksandr's tanks why is he not going to get the Sentinel? Would a Railgun one be too OP ? This post has been edited by dangerman1337: 14 Feb 2013, 17:39 |
